Martin Smorenburg

Martin Smorenburg is a Senior Application Development consultant within the IBM Global Services organization. His work is primarily related to the effectiveness of IT organizations, and Software Process Improvement.

Mr. Smorenburg has over 20 years experience and a deep background in Application Development and Maintenance performance measurements.  

Mr. Smorenburg is a SEI Authorized SCAMPI A V1.2 Lead Appraiser and a B&C Team Leader (#0500505-01).

At this moment Mr. Smorenburg is the CMMI expert of the IBM AS BeNeLux Transformation Consultants team.
Mr. Smorenburg performed a leading role as Project Leader of the Software Process Evaluation team as part of the IBM Netherlands SEPG (Software Engineering Process Group) to attain SEI CMM maturity level 5 in December 2003 and performed a leading role to attain SEI CMMI maturity Level 5 in December 2005.
Mr. Smorenburg was the SPI initiative leader of IBM EMEA to attain SEI CMM maturity level 3 in 2001.
In several occasions Mr. Smorenburg conducted CBA-IPIs and SCAMPI appraisals for AD/M and non AD/M organizations within Europe.
Mr. Smorenburg conducted also several Application Development Effectiveness Benchmarks which provides detailed analysis of various aspects of development organization’s performance and practices.
